Today's food

Another lazy day. Although my hip is quite a bit better, the weather is still awful. My highlight of the week was receiving a new manual wheelchair yesterday. I only ordered it, online, on Sunday afternoon so I reckon that's pretty good service. My other one was falling apart. One of the big back wheels (it was a self-propel) no longer went round in a perfect circle, the armrests were leaking their inners and the seat was ripping, I was gradually sinking down the back. So I now have an attendant chair - the big wheel marks my clothes - now I've got used to having no arm rests, all in black with a canvas seat. It's pretty smart and without the footplates and armrests with weighs about 22lbs which isn't too bad for poliphilo to carry up and down steps. When we're out nowadays I push it more than ride in it and never self propel so we thought we'd go for solid wheels as standard and buy a 'pusher' chair.

Breakfast: Porridge with 20 grams protein powder & 1.5 tsp sugar.

Lunch: Salmon in dill sauce (steamed) with mushrooms cooked in olive oil and cayenne pepper & 1/3 tin left over baked beans, strawberries & yogurt.

Evening: Healthy living macaroni cheese, 3 slices turkey breast, red jelly with peach bits.

Snacks: mini salami, turkey breast & a kinder egg.

Drinks: 6 large decaf coffees, 1/2 pint slimline tonic water, 1.5 pints iced water.
