Yesterday's Food

We arrived at Charing Cross Station at about 9.30 am to find that it was closed, so had to get another taxi to London Bridge Station, which took us through a part of London I’ve not been to before. We went along the Embankment and passed Cleopatra’s Needle.

We were on a train just after 10 am and arrived at my mother-in-law’s about 11.30 – she picked us up at Paddock Wood Station. One of the stations that we passed on the way down was Bat & Bll station. Apparently there is a village/area called Bat & Ball but I can’t find out why.

Breakfast: Cottage cheese, fruit & yogurt

Snack: Advantage bar & 2 slices of turkey

Lunch: Cheesy Aubergines, green beans, 2 mandarin oranges

Snack: 1 slice black rye bread, 2 slices of ham

Evening: 2 slices of black bread, 3 slices of turkey, 3 oz cheese, mandarin orange.

Drinks: 2 small cups of coffee, 1 small cup of tea, ½ pint slimline tonic, ½ int tonic water.

I love being at my mother-in-law’s the house is so welcoming and homely, and my mother-in-la is friendly & good to be with. - She used to frighten the life out of me, but not any more.

Today's food

We didn't do much today.  Shirley (my mother-in-law) and I went to Waitrose for food for the next couple of days - poliphilo 's sister and her partner are coming over tomorrow.

In the afternoon we watched the horse racing.  Shirley's trainer Anna had a horse running at Fontwell in the 4 o'clock - and it won - it's name is Come By.  She only has a small stable so winning is a big deal to her.

Breakfast:  Cottage cheese & mandarin orange

Lunch:  3 pork sausages & green cabbage

Evening:  Salmon & Broccoli & 1 low fat blackberry mousse.
